RFID tags could benefit the office aspect of this company. Using passive tags we could monitor anything being stolen. The reader would be placed in a doorway so that any tag that travels through will trigger it. Attaching tags to all of the business capital like computers, printers, etc. could help keep everything safe and in order.
Bar codes could also help with the office aspect. Using time cards to record employee hours would be the main use of barcodes. This ensures an accurate reading of every employees hours, this would save money due to the elimination of human error.
These technologies and others out there may seem ordinary, but both make managing businesses easier. Making things easier results in more profit and more profit results in a successful business.
I like your idea about using RFID tags, however, I would like to hear more about inputs and outputs of your idea. What are all the things that a user can put into your system and what will it provide as an output? I think that you have a well thought out idea that has real potential to be desirable to clients so I would like to learn more specifics about it.
